The sauce is a traditional cheese sauce with butter, flour, milk, and spices. The addition of cream cheese adds a creamy texture and extra flavor without the need for a heavy cream.

Spicy cheddar cheese is our choice of cheese as it has a lot of flavor, gentle cheddar will not have enough flavor in this sauce.

It’s okay to use any kind of cheese you like, even the Velveeta option!

Broccoli and cauliflower are the staple stars of this meal, but feel free to add carrots, Brussels sprouts, or use a mixture of frozen vegetables.

Buttery crumb topping was added for crunch and fried flavors. Feel free to add a pinch of parmesan to the topping or add hot fried onions or bacon.

Refrigerate for up to 48 hours.
Remove from the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking.
